About the Director
Leon Jones, Jr., a native of Pine Bluff, AR, was named the Executive Director of the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission on June 10, 2019 by Gov. Asa Hutchinson in conjunction with Elizabeth Smith, Secretary of the Department Inspector General.
Mr. Jones serves on several boards and commissions including the Arkansas Housing Trust Fund. He is a past Commissioner of the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission and the Fayetteville Housing Authority. Mr. Jones is active in the Arkansas Bar Association and recently became a member of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.
Mr. Jones is passionate about serving others and his work with the AR Hunger Relief Alliance is proof. He has helped raise funds for the Alliance’s annual fundraiser Breakfast and Serving Up Solutions, the annual fundraising gala.
Mr. Jones lives in Little Rock with his wife Tori. He has two children, Tre’ (19) and Sydney (12) and he enjoys traveling, golf and reading.
